Liaquat Hall

Liaquat Memorial Hall, (LMH) was constructed to perpetuate the memory of Liaquat Ali Khan, the first Prime Minister of Pakistan, who was assassinated during a public address at Company Bagh (presently Liaquat Bagh) on 16th October, 1951. Equipped with a large auditorium and a library, LMH remained the cultural hub of art exhibitions, cultural shows and stage plays for over five decades.

The NCA is the proud custodian of this historic building and has invested its resources on the refurbishment and maintenance of the hall. It is used largely for the student’s activities and public performances. An Advisory Committee comprising of Rawalpindi and Islamabad’s leading artists, intellectuals and philanthropist is now being formed. It intends to assist the NCA in revitalizing the LMH to serve the institute and the community of artists and art connoisseurs alike.
