The National College of Arts hosted an inspiring artist talk with Ali Raza, as part of the NCA Triennale 2025 at the Shakir Ali Auditorium.
Titled "What Remains: Remembered, Forgotten, Reimagined," the session offered a compelling exploration of memory, material, and meaning through Raza's multidisciplinary practice that spans drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and digital image- making.
An alumnus of NCA and the University of Minnesota, Raza shared insights into his creative process, reflecting on the intersections of tradition and innovation that shape his art. His talk invited students and faculty to contemplate how form, history, and emotion converge in the making of contemporary visual narratives. He said that travelling and pursuit of knowledge inspires his work greatly, adding that art evolves with circumstances and time.
As an artist in residence at the NCA Triennale 2025, Ali Raza continues to foster dialogue across mediums and generations; enriching Lahore's evolving artistic landscape with thoughtful inquiry and creative experimentation.
