British artist and researcher Jamie Louis Holman, currently serving as a Resident Artist for the NCA Triennale 2025, delivered an insightful talk at the Shakir Ali Auditorium in National College of Arts (Lahore).
Holman shared reflections on his multidisciplinary practice spanning sculpture, print, tapestries and moving image; exploring themes of heritage, class, labour, and belonging. His discussion delved into how stories of industry, craft, and community resilience shape contemporary cultural identities. He expressed his deep fascination with footballs manufactured in Pakistan along with use of text from local languages of the country in his work.
