The National College of Arts hosted an unforgettable literary evening titled Farogh-e Gulshan-o Saut-e Hazaar Ka Mausam, as part of the NCA Triennale.
The event brought together many of Pakistan’s most celebrated poets, offering audiences a rich celebration of Urdu poetry and its timeless tradition.
Held in the Shakir Ali Auditorium, NCA Lahore, the gathering featured an impressive lineup of poets whose voices and verses filled the auditorium with depth, emotion, and artistic brilliance. The session was presided over by Iftikhar Arif, whose presence added further grace to the occasion.
Renowned poets; including Prof. Dr. Asghar Nadeem Syed, Khalid Masood, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Yasmin Hameed, Nazir Qaiser, Shaheen Abbas, Hameeda Shaheen, Qamar Raza Shahzad, Adnan Baig, Afshaan Sajjad, Dr Ajaz Anwar, Mumtaz Hussain, Khurram Afaq, Uzma Sehar, Ammar Aziz, Raza Jafri, Abrar Hussain, Muhammad Saad Khan, Ansab Shoaib, Sayeda Mehreen and Muhammad Saad Jabbar, mesmerised the audience with their poetry. Their recitations captured the beauty, complexity, and evolving spirit of contemporary Urdu poetry.
The evening was a meaningful cultural experience, reflecting NCA’s continued commitment towards nurturing and showcasing Pakistan’s artistic and literary heritage. Not only the poets but the evening was captivated by the spellbounded Nazamat of Summaira Amin, Muhammad Saad Khan, and Laraib Amin. Attendees left inspired, carrying with them the resonance of powerful words and the shared joy of poetic expression.
