As part of the NCA Triennale, Sonic Bridges was presented by Ricardo Vinhas Passos and organised by Ateeq ur Rehman at the Shakir Ali Auditorium. The live performance brought together instruments, histories, and sonic traditions from Portugal and Pakistan, creating an evocative space of shared rhythm and cross cultural dialogue.
The session unfolded as an intimate exchange between two musical worlds, where indigenous textures met Mediterranean resonances, and where each note carried stories of heritage, memory, and identity. Audiences were immersed in a deeply reflective atmosphere, witnessing how music could dissolve boundaries and open pathways of understanding between cultures.
Through this collaboration, Sonic Bridges not only celebrated artistic synergy but also reaffirmed the Triennale’s vision of fostering global connections through creative expression.
