The week long workshop; Native Footprints: Khussa Making, invited participants to rediscover the art of handcrafted footwear under the guidance of artisans Sadaf Hammad and Sidra Ashraf.
Held at the Tollinton Block, the workshop offered an immersive journey into the meticulous process of Khusa making, from cutting and stitching to embellishing and shaping.
Participants engaged hands on with traditional techniques and locally sourced materials, gaining a deeper appreciation for the cultural heritage embedded in every pair. By bringing this age old craft into contemporary conversation, the workshop reflected the Triennale’s spirit of celebrating craftsmanship as living heritage and as an enduring expression of identity and pride.
