The NCA Triennale Youth Film Festival 2025 successfully kicked off on Wednesday, November 26, at the Shakir Ali Auditorium. The opening ceremony began with a welcome note by the Film Festival Director, Mr Seerat Hazir; followed by addresses from Prof. Dr. Murtaza Jafri, VC NCA and Prof. Majid Saeed Khan, Dean Faculty Film & TV at NCA. Each speaker contributed to setting an inspiring tone for the festival.
The ceremony also featured special screenings of three NCA short films; Khaali Botlain, Khaali Dabbay, Shah Alam, and Raju.
Session II showcased a diverse lineup of youth films across fiction, animation, documentary, and music videos. The session included; Faqeer (Fiction), directed by Haris Saleem; The Last 7 Minutes (Animation), directed by Anna Amin; Mansiraj (Animation), directed by Syed Junaid Azam Kalashgum (Documentary), directed by Sidra Rehman; Gumaan (Music Video), directed by Saad Ayub Yrata; See Through the Sin (Music Video), directed by Saman Kamran; Downers at Dusk (Music Video), directed by Abdul Wali Baloch; and The Shadows Left Behind (Fiction), directed by Aun ul Haider.
The day concluded with an atmosphere full of creativity, enthusiasm, and celebration of young filmmakers’ talent. The screenings reflected the artistic diversity and storytelling strength emerging in Pakistani youth.
