CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
NATIONAL COLLEGE OF ARTS

The AKU-FAS Student Research Forum is pleased to announce its inaugural Student Research Conference, to be held on 7–8 February 2026 at Aga Khan University, Karachi.

This two-day hybrid conference invites students from across Pakistan and beyond to exchange ideas at the intersection of the arts, sciences, and humanities. This year’s theme, “Ideas Beyond Borders: Interconnected Pathways to Shared Futures,” captures its central purpose. The conference offers a platform for undergraduate researchers and creators to share original work, challenge conventional thinking, and engage in interdisciplinary exchange. Ultimately, it aims to nurture a community of emerging thinkers dedicated to social impact and knowledge that moves beyond disciplinary and institutional boundaries.

Submissions are invited across the following six sub-themes, which serve as guiding areas of exploration. 

(Note: Submissions are not to be limited to the proposed subthemes; other interdisciplinary or original approaches beyond these categories will also be welcomed.)

2. Health, Wellbeing & Communities 
3. Conflict, Crisis & Resilience 
4. Culture, Identity & Heritage in a Globalised World 
5. Digitalisation, Technology & Society 
6. Power, Policy & Development Pathways 

How to Participate
We welcome diverse presentation formats, both in person and online. including:

> Oral Presentations
> Poster Presentations
> Three-Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition
> Creative Formats (films, artwork, design etc.)

Abstract Submission Deadline: December 7, 2025
Conference Dates: February 7–8, 2026
