Continuing its proud tradition, the National College of Arts once again opens its doors to the public for its flagship event, Degree Show 2024. This grand showcase of creativity and innovation, inaugurated by the Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, will run from December 30th, 2024 to January 28th, 2025. This show will remain open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, including weekends.

The showcase highlights the transformative journeys of graduating students across all departments, witnessing the culmination of years of dedication, passion, and creative exploration. From intricate fine arts pieces to groundbreaking designs, thought provoking installations, and innovative media projects, the show reflects a dynamic blend of cultural heritage and contemporary perspectives.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui praised the National College of Arts for continuing to nurture artistic talent and providing a platform for young minds to showcase their creativity. He emphasised the importance of art and culture in shaping a nation’s identity and expressed pride in the diverse range of artistic expressions presented at the Degree Show 2024. Dr. Siddiqui highlighted that the creative industries are crucial not only to the cultural landscape of Pakistan but also to its economic growth, urging continued government support for such initiatives.

Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Murtaza Jafri, also praised the tireless efforts of the faculty in mentoring these talented individuals and emphasised NCA’s role in shaping the creative identity of Pakistan. He celebrated the ability of these young artists to push boundaries, challenge norms, and envision a future where art transcends barriers.
