ORIENTATION OF 6 MONTHS CERTIFICATE COURSES

National College of Arts, a Federal Chartered Institute after the pandemic of Covid-19 reopens its doors for six months Diploma Courses with an aim to outreach the youth and professionals from different walks of life to enable them to connect with new ideas and practices just as it used to do before the pandemic. The zeal and the zest of the candidates was astonishing but the management tried to enroll the most deserving and eligible candidates. The orientation was held at NCA on Thursday 19 May 2022 from 5pm to 6pm. The finally selected participants were congratulated on their selection by the worthy Prof. Dr. Murtaza Jafri, Vice Chancellor-NCA in his welcome speech. The senior faculty and administration was present to welcome the participants. The renowned faculty members who will impart diploma courses briefed participants about their courses during orientation session. The six-month Diploma Courses include Calligraphy, Performing Arts (Acting / Drama), Fresco Painting, Drawing, Indo-Persian Miniature Painting, Print Making, Digital Film Production, Traditional Craft, TV Production, Fashion Illustration, Silma Sitara, Graphic Design, Photography, Wood Work, Singing, Contemporary Sitar, Leather Accessories, Surface Embellishment and Digital Film Making to be offered by experts of each field/area. Each year NCA receives thousands of applications for admission in undergraduate degree programs and each year thousands of requests are turned down due to non-availability of space and seats. The six months Diploma courses bridge the gap and serve the purpose of providing skill sets required for success in a global workspace.

While addressing to the audience during orientation, worthy Vice Chancellor NCA Prof. Dr. Murtaza Jafri said that NCA is trying to make more people skilled with its outreach programs. This year NCA announced a large number of scholarships for the most deserving students of the diploma courses. NCA is offering the Diploma courses at Lahore, Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

The participants vowed to stay committed to learn. They showed gratitude by applauding NCA to open its doors of learning and new experiences for them. One of the participants presented a self-portrait of Prof. Dr. Murtaza Jafri to him to show her gratitude to be a part of NCA. Prof. Dr. Murtaza Jafri assured the audience that more outreach programs are in the pipeline and will be opened for the public soon.
